A recipe inspired by Ronnie Sassoon several months before her husband died at their Richard Neutra-designed house on Mulholland Drive in May. At its plainest, it is a dried chilli- and garlic-infused spaghetti, but topped with parsley and the Mediterranean’s cured fish roe, bottarga. The pressed, salted and dried roe of the grey mullet, which imparts a sweet but densely briny flavour, was a delicacy Ronnie and Vidal discovered on their first trip to Sardinia and remained Vidal’s favourite dish, a dish that brings happy memories of the Med to a simple meal.

The Sassoon International Creative Team presents the 2012 Spring/Summer Collection – Athletica.
A modern take on iconic Olympian symbols. The interlocking circles of the Olympic flag, first unveiled in Paris in 1914, provide the touchstone for a perfect blend of wearable cuts and personalised colour with a sophisticated palette inspired by the victors’ medals of gold, silver and bronze. Concise colours come courtesy of Sassoon Professional. Chromatology is a range with unlimited inter-mixing possibilities and, when applied with our refined techniques, works seamlessly together with the body showing the grace and fluidity of the hair and cut in motion.

When Roger cut hair he was as one with both scissors and hair….. It was spellbindingTo anyone who has, or still cuts hair everything you do, knowingly or not, stems from Roger Thompson, and Christopher Brooker. Their technique was without parallel. In their respective roles within the years 1966-69 they created a veritable plethora of new cuts and looks; Mifume, Mouche, Havington, Veil, Isadora, (2 versions), Breeze, VS, Halo and the Greek Goddess. — http://vidalsassoonalumni.com
